  : The room did not have everything in the room in which was meant to be in the room description.Not very sociable staff.There was rubbish left outside our door for most of the first day that didn’t get taken.We asked in advance to early and late check in and out via the phone and messaged the hotel to ensure it was sorted but it was not and had to re go through having to sort out the book in and out.WAY TOO MUCH MONEY you should not be paying that price for the hotel.We will definitely not ever be coming back to this hotel or any other of its chains if they’re anything like this one.Balcony was a mess over the floors and cigarette ends in the flower pots

  : Very clean and spacious room
  : The air conditioning switched off during the night and lots of the gadgets such as being able to dial reception didn't work. It was also a little confusing as I received an email saying I would be provided with a digital passcode on the day of arrival and wasn't (just a standard card). The room itself was in the basement which although had windows meant you couldn't have the bright green blinds open very much as it was directly on to the street.

  : Very clean and a lovely touch with the petals on the bed and prosecco given as our anniversary gift
  : The room was extremely hot, we needed a fan. Bath was complicated to work out. Instructions on how things operate, i.e., coffee machine, bath, and air conditioning, would be extremely beneficial. Pillows were too lumpy and ultimately we slept quite badly.

  : Location was good in that it was right next to King’s Cross but a rough area - my view out of the room looked over a park where there were homeless people sat drinking and there were people hanging around outside the hotel who heckled as I walked past, and I also walked past a fight at the end of the road. I understand that it’s a premium price point area due to the proximity of the train station but I wouldn’t have felt safe going out around the hotel. I know this is outside of the hotel’s control but I just felt a bit uncomfortable and the price point was so high to feel like you couldn’t go out and had to close the curtains.

  : Great location to St Pancras International. Beautifully decorated room with a comfortable bed.
  : Communication upon arrival could be improved to make the experience more seamless and enjoyable. Facilities should be explained better and although it’s nice to have smart technology, only when it works, in which case simple phone connection alternative to reception would have been useful.

  : The location was great, tucked away in a busy part of town. Made it feel very quiet.
  : The bathroom (or lack of it) was poor, to pay a premium rate for an alleged King room and to have a tiny plastic bus shelter as our toilet and shower is very poor. In addition the marketing photos used cleverly disguise this fact. We genuinely feel a Premier Inn would have been a better option. We have paid a premium to stay in a nice hotel and poor size and facilities have let it down. We will not return to the Gyle.
