  : We booked a rental with Houst via Booking.com in London, following the great reviews. We have never encountered a more incompetent hosting service. When we arrived at the property, the house was freezing cold, which led to a series of calls and emails with customer support. After trying to restart, turn on and off etc, we had to spend the night freezing cold, sleeping in our coats. After the host deigned to send a technician, the technician did not arrive when promised, and we lost a full after-noon due to waiting at the property. The technician arrived nearly 48 hours after the initial complaint, and found that the thermostat panel was faulty and needed replacement. Following this, we were offered ridiculous compensation for our poor experience. In addition, the property in reality was not as displayed in the pictures.
