  : I expected faded grandeur being Hyde Park but it was totally shabby and horrible. The bedroom was so small I couldn't wheel my suitcase past the end of the bed and had to shuffle sideways when going to the toilet. We had to ask for towels twice no bathmat no flannel.

  : Friendly staff. Good breakfast although it was continental and not cooked. Location great.
  : Mattresses were awful. As soon as you laid on them they were almost flat and very uncomfortable. Room was on the tilt. The flooring went downhill in one corner. Headboard wasn't fitted to the bed properly. Just very worn out and needs a major refurb.

  : Great location and tube station close by. Breakfast simple and suited us. The staff are very helpful and friendly . The room was small and very tired could do with being renovated. I enjoyed being able to walk around Hyde park which was right across the road.
  : Bathroom needs work done on it- toilet roll holder is broken and roll put on the floor. Shower door removed and is covered by shower curtain. Toilet hard to flush and water doesn't drain from shower or basin very well. Heating of room needs upgrading. The temperature in room 28 degrees and is too hot to sleep. Opened windows but let in very little air, also ambulances going up road all night so even harder to sleep. The issue is apparently - whole floor heated and individual rooms cannot control their heat.

  : superb locationvery good value for moneybasic and spacious for a solo traveller
  : staff wasnt very friendly (only 1 or 2 were)left the plz clean my room sign for 3 days in a row and the room wasnt cleaned .. asked the front desk to tell them said she will but she probably didnt, the lady wasnt exactly friendly herself :)

  : We were told that the London Elizabeth Hotel had closed down following and act of God where their basement got flooded and their electrics had sizzled. We were taken to the Colonnade Hotel, which is owned by the same owners as the London Elizabeth. This hotel is a bit further away from the London Elizabeth. We were told that The Colonnade Hotel was a boutique hotel better than the London Elizabeth... well...When we arrived at the hotel, we were told there were 3 bedrooms allocated to us, 2 at the basement and one in the 4thfloor. So we decided to check the basement rooms.I was already put out by the communal areas down to the rooms, but we were completely flabbergasted when we saw the state of the basement rooms. The photographs tell part of the story:The rooms were damp and dirtyThe windows were old, cracked and filthyThere view out of the windows were not just an eyesore but a health hazzard.There were exposed cables in the bathroom and the bedroomsThere was a sewerage pipe running through our room.The ceiling light fittings were hanging.There was a hole in the ceiling outside our room with towels stuffed in the holeThe furniture was all scratched and oldThe two mattress frames for our beds were smaller than the actual mattress.We had just one towel per roomThe bathroom was full of mould and tiles were displaced from the wallsTo be honest, there was no end to the list of atrocities in those bedrooms. It was already 8 pm on 21stMarch and we were debating staying for the night and move the following day, but none of us could stomach lying on those beds (not even fully dressed) or using the bathroom facilities.The lady at the reception took us to see the 4thfloor room and to be honest, it was not much better on top of that, the lift only went up to floor 2 and then you would have to carry your luggage two floors up through very steep and narrow staircase.

  : The room we had was so small you couldn't move your bag between the end of the bed and the wardrobe. You had to squeeze past if going to the toilet. I expected a bit of wear and tear but this place was more than shabby. We had to ask for towels twice. There was black mould in my daughters bathroom. Breakfast was basic
