  : Very comfortable beds and very clean everywhere and good breakfast
  : Being asked for my passport at reception . The majority of people do not carry their passport around when they are in their home country. The receptionist very very insistent even though on the form I was asked to complete , it said for overseas visitors only . I explained I didn’t have it and hadn’t been told I would need it . I offered the card I had pre paid with ( usually what I am asked for ) but she said that wasn’t sufficient . In the end she grudgingly let us register . But it was not a good start to our night away , or our impression of the hotel . Receptionist very unhelpful Their policy should have been made clear when I booked

  : Arrived there .. room not ready .. thay were still painting it out .. expected me to put an o.a.p. with breathing problems in there to sleep with the fumes .. no staff at breakfast .. just one girl in the kitchen trying her best .. not impressed

  : Booking.com have completely let us down. This hotel is NOT Kensington House Hotel it is a SONDER hotel. They had no record of our booking.They do not provide breakfast. We had a very stressful time having to register with SONDER as we didn’t actually have photo ID with us (don’t need to generally) and had to get pics sent to us from home just to be able to check in. It was looking like we were possibly without a place to stay & we had tickets booked for that afternoon so we were under pressure to get sorted in time. Fortunately the SONDER staff did everything they could to help us.We will not be booking anything through Booking.com ever again. SONDER told us that they have repeatedly told you to relist this hotel under the correct name to avoid problems. It is not good enough.

  : the fact that the hotel had no knowledge of our booking although booking. com confirmed it with us 3 months previously and why is it advertised as Kensington house hotel when it is known as Sonder and why does Booking. com advertise it as providing breakfast when it has no such facility.

  : Great, quiet, safe location just off the Kensington High Street. Magazines in bedroom. Huge ceiling fan. Lovely decor. Small safe for valuables, iron & hairdryer provided. Brilliant selection of foods for continental breakfast, which was included in price.
  : At the time of my visit they were amid decorating and had left tins of paint in doorways and a I had to walk across paint splattered plastic. Clearly only a temporary issue, but nobody mentioned it. I couldn’t close the outer sash window, possibly because of recent painting.
